Exhibit Goals
• Public outreach education (formal and informal) - To expand public knowledge and understanding about the structure, function, and diversity of wider Caribbean coral reef ecosystems and their current status, reasons for their declines, and local efforts at sustainable utilization or restoration.

• Stimulate action - To energize the public at large to promote and support coral reef environmental conservation initiatives or, when locally appropriate, attempts at their remediation. To encourage new, and to publicize existing, grass roots conservation and enhancement projects in the wider Caribbean. To promote volunteer-supported community activism and stewardship of reefs.

• Role model - To serve as a model that, with suitable changes in content and illustrations, is adaptable for outreach education in other regions of the world.

The Physical Exhibit
• The core exhibit is composed of two pairs of vertical title banners, and five, self-standing units when exhibited in a “W” (or accordion) configuration. Each unit is two sided, with a different topic in 3-4 panels on each side. The panels are 1 meter wide x 2 meters (about 80") tall.

• Also available are a 10 ft x 10 ft canopy (to gather for discussions or to watch donated videos), digital video projection equipment, and a few blank panels for mounting local displays.

• Given its lightweight, modular design, the exhibit is easily transported and can be displayed in a wide diversity of indoor architectural settings, e.g., libraries, ecological centers, school auditoriums, shopping malls or airports. Although the whole exhibit does not fit in all venues, the core may be shown in about 1000 sq ft, depending on room shape and dimension.
